A troubling trend… for the first time according to a recent Gallup poll Church membership in the U.S. has dropped 47%. More troubling is that it’s a 23 point drop since the turn of the millennium. There are numerous causes behind this statistic, young people are identifying as no religious affiliations otherwise known as “NONES”. An element of that is even within the church many Christians don’t connect discipleship to Christ with any institutional obligation.
